Vetsulin.com is a pet owner facing site meant for education about pet diabetes and the solutions and support available to manage the disease. The site was built to better convey to dog and cat owners that with Vetsulin, pet diabetes can be manageable and not a death sentence for their pet.

The Task
Separating from the Pack
Vetsulin was being re-positioned to better convey to pet owners that pet (dog and cat) diabetes is manageable and not a death sentence. To do so the site would need to be setup more as a resource for pet diabetes related information.
Important tasks included:
- Mobile Responsive site design
- More efficient and consistent site structure and IA
- Improve functionality of Glucose Curve Tool
The Challenge
New Content,
New Audience
The original vetsulin.com was meant for veterinary professionals and had a lot of content a pet owner wouldn’t be interested in looking into. The new site’s content would need to be re thought to better address the needs of this new set of users (pet owners).
In addition, the content in many places varied based on the species. With the content focussing on cats and dogs, we needed a better way to present an appropriate and species specific experience to pet owners.
The Hurdles
Two Sites,
One Location
- All the content needed to be rewritten for a new audience
- A lot of imagery was needed for each species
- Multiple agencies working on various digital materials needed to be kept in sync
- New glucose curve tool needed to function similarly to PetDiabetes Tracker App
The Solution
LESS, Material Design,
& Plenty of Content
A readjusted user experience, allowing each species to take center stage. Localized navigation, consistent imagery, pet-owner friendly content and smooth but subtle interactions provided a much needed revamp for anyone browsing the new Vetsulin.
